Kerry’s statement on Karabakh conflict true only in part: spokesman

PanARMENIAN.Net - The declaration by the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry does reflect the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, but only in part, a spokesperson for the Karabakh President said, according to Aysor.am.

Kerry on Thursday, September 29 cited the lack of political will by the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders as an obstacle to the settlement of the conflict.

“The conflict can’t be settled as long as Azerbaijani authorities continue with their fascist and destructive policies,” Davit Babayan said.

“According to Secretary Kerry, the Presidents lack the political will to resolve the issue. Truth is, however, that Baku is not ready for a settlement as Azeri authorities have adopted fascism and Armenophobia as a state ideology.”
