This month, the process of selecting a new UN Secretary General may end. “The Council will go on working but it may also finish the process of preparing a proposal for the General Assembly regarding the nomination of a new UN Secretary General,” announced Russia’s Permanent Representative. The first meeting of the council will be on October 3.
