Zac Efron developing Wall Street film “Straight to Hell”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Zac Efron is producing and possibly starring in a film loosely based on John LeFevre’s book “Straight to Hell” at Paramount Pictures, Variety reports.

LeFevre’s “Straight to Hell: True Tales of Deviance, Debauchery, and Billion-Dollar Deals,” which was published in July 2015 via Atlantic Monthly Press, offers readers a dark yet humorous account of his life as a high-profile investment banker.

Sources say the film is still in early development.

John M. Phillips will write the script. Efron will produce via his Ninjas Runnin’ Wild banner, along with Doug Banker at Five All in the Fifth Entertainment.

Efron most recently starred in Universal’s “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” and Fox’s “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.” The actor will next be seen in “Baywatch” opposite Dwayne Johnson, and also has James Franco’s “The Masterpiece” bowing in the next year. Efron will begin production on Fox’s “The Greatest Showman,” with Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams, in 2017.

Phillips most recently penned Efron’s comedy “Dirty Grandpa.”
