FIVE ARMENIANS AMONG HOSTAGES IN THEATER CENTER IN MOSCOW

PanARMENIAN.Net - There are five Armenians among the hostages held by Chechen terrorists in the Theater Center in Moscow. Armenian ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian told Armenian television about it. In his words, three of them - Armen Arakelyan (born 1958), Myasnik Zakaryan (1959), Tamara Gevorgyan (1975) - are citizens of Armenia. Karen Hayrapetyan and Margarita Aghababova are Russian citizens. In A.Smbatian's words, the embassy is actively working and follows the events near "Dubrovka" metro station every minute. He reported that embassy workers were present at the strategic headquarters all the time. "I am going to a conference at the Russian foreign ministry at the moment, after that the representatives of foreign states will return to the headquarters," - A.Smbatian said.
