New stamp marks 100th anniv. of mezzo-soprano Tatevik Sazandaryan

PanARMENIAN.Net - HayPost CJSC on Tuesday, October 4 put into circulation a new stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian honored artist, mezzo-soprano Tatevik Sazandaryan.

Sazandaryan performed at Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater from 1937 to 1969 greatly contributing to the development of national opera.

The stamp has been printed in Cartor Printing House, France, with a face value of AMD 230.

Designed by HayPost’s David Dovlatyan, it depicts Sazandaryan in the role of the title character, Almast, from an opera by Alexander Spendiaryan on the obverse.

The official cancellation ceremony took place at the Opera Theater and was carried out by the Art Director of Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater of Armenia, Constantine Orbelian, the Armenian honored artist, President of the Musical Society of Armenia David Ghazaryan, and the Managing Director of HayPost Trust Management B.V., Juan Pablo Gechidjian.
