Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" trailer leaks onlineOctober 11, 2016 - 14:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The unfinished version of the first trailer for Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" has leaked online. Since the Taiwanese division of Sony Pictures accidentally uploaded the video on their YouTube channel on Monday morning, October 10, it has spread across numerous websites, AceShowbiz said. The trailer, which now has been removed, is not exactly in high quality, but it offers the first look at the highly-anticipated fantasy thriller. Though much of the scenes feature Jake Chambers' [Tom Taylor] journey from Earth to the Mid-World, there is also a glimpse of Idris Elba's Roland Deschain roaming a western landscape as well as the modern world in search of the infamous Dark Tower. The gunslinger can also be seen taking on both the Man in Black's [Matthew McConaughey] followers and several horrifying monsters. In addition, it appears that the movie has a few changes as previously confirmed by director Nikolaj Arcel that the story in the adaptation would be tweaked to make it more of a sequel. However, Roland Deschain hasn't changed much. He can be heard delivering his famous line from the book at the end of the trailer. "I do not aim with my hand, I aim with my eye," he says. "I do not kill with my gun, I kill with my heart." Anders Thomas Jensen, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner co-wrote the screenplay based on Stephen King's fantasy novels. Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, "The Dark Tower" follows Deschain who roams an Old West-like landscape in search of a dark tower, which is said to be a magical portal to other worlds. Scheduled for a February 17, 2017 release in U.S. theaters, the upcoming fantasy thriller also stars Jackie Earle Haley as the fearsome vampire leader Richard Sayre. Katheryn Winnick, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Michael Barbieri and Fran Kranz are also among the cast members.
