Rumour is that Netflix really is launching offline playback exclusively for Netflix Originals, and it will most probably be available by the end of the year. It's apparently developing a download function for the app, which means you'll all be able to watch Netflix offline. Talking to Light Reading, industry insider Penthera COO Dan Taitz said: "We know from our sources within the industry that Netflix is going to launch this product. "My expectation is that by the end of the year Netflix will be launching download-to-go as an option for their customers." Netflix still hasn't officially responded to the claims.
