  Parliament approves new government program October 21, 2016 - 15:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Assembly on Friday, October 21 approved the government program, submitted by Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan the day before. The program was adopted with 85 MPs voting in favor, 7 against, 6 abstentions. "Congratulations to the government of Armenia," said Galust Sahakyan, the parliament speaker. Opposition parliamentary fraction Prosperous Armenia declared that its members won't participate in the vote, while those of Orinats Yerkir promised to abstain.   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
