J.K. Rowling's “Cormoran Strike” to get series treatment at HBOOctober 28, 2016 - 11:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HBO has landed an adaptation of J.K. Rowling's Cormoran Strike novel series initially published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The premium cable network works with BBC to bring the books into the small screen as a limited miniseries, AceShowbiz reports. BBC is also behind the TV adaptation of another Rowling book "The Casual Vacancy". While the "Vacancy" is a politically-tinged story, the "Cormoran" is a crime fiction that features many mystery cases of private investigator Cormoran Strike. Tom Burke ("War and Peace", "The Musketeers") is tapped to play the lead role. The story will be told in three separate event series based on the three books: three-hour "The Cuckoo's Calling", two-hour "The Silkworm" and two-hour "Career of Evil". Filming is scheduled to kick off this fall in London. Photo: Jonathan Lodge Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
