Armenia, India discuss re-launch of Yerevan-New Delhi flights![]() November 12, 2016 - 13:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Re-launch of Yerevan-New Delhi direct flights was among the key issued on Armenia-India cooperation agenda discussed by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and India’s Minister of Civil Aviation and special envoy of the Indian government Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Foreign Ministry press service reports. At the November 12 meeting, Minister Nalbandian stressed the importance of the continuous development of ties with India based on a centuries-long friendship between the two nations. The parities further emphasized the necessity of boosting bilateral cooperation in the sectors of tourism, culture, agriculture and healthcare; scientific-educational and trade-economic sectors were also discussed. The ministers also dwelled on the issues of cooperation on the civil aviation and the possibility of re-launching the Yerevan-New Delhi direct flights. Nalbandian further briefed the Indian official on the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression against Nagorno Karabakh and the situation in its aftermath. Nalbandian expressed appreciation for India’s continuous support for the peaceful, negotiated settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju, in turn, praised Armenia support in delicate matters for India. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
