Samsung Galaxy S8 set for a new screenNovember 16, 2016 - 11:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - It may be a long while until the Samsung Galaxy S8 hits stores, but there’s exciting news to share anyway, Digital Spy said. And it's about the display. Not only is the S8's release tipped to mark the launch of Samsung's first venture into a mobile 4K display, it's looking like it'll have force touch tech, too, Digital Spy said. According to those in the know over at Pocket-Lint, Samsung are toying with the idea of rolling out that magic force touch technology with the Galaxy S8. Force touch-like tech is something Apple have been doing since the release of the iPhone 6S – and it's available on the Apple Watch and newer MacBooks, too – so it's nothing entirely groundbreaking. But with a stunning 4K display and stylish edge design, Samsung introducing force touch will make the S8's screen the fairest of them all, Digital Spy said. Essentially a pressure-sensitive display, force touch allows users to unlock additional elements of functionality when tapping icons and navigating menus, for example. According to reports, the S8 is getting rid of the traditional headphone connection. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to drop early next year.
