PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer of Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" has arrived online for viewing pleasure, AceShowbiz said. It gives a longer look at the ordeal faced by the Baudelaire kids at the hands of Count Olaf after their parents died. He disguises as a woman and Egyptian king among others in his devious plans get his hands on their inheritance.

The series is based on Lemony Snicket's children's book of the same name. It stars Neil Patrick Harris as the evil Count Olaf portrayed by Jim Carrey in the movie version. The show is scheduled to premiere January 13, 2017 on Netflix.

It recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus and Sunny. They have to live with their sinister guardian and try to outsmart him at every turn in order to discover clues to their parents' mysterious death.
