NATO: Nobody hampers other countries, including Armenia to establish relations with Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - "NATO does not have problems with Iran, the only thing that we are concerned over is nuclear program of Tehran," NATO Secretary General's Special Representative in South Caucasus Robert Simmons stated to journalists in Yerevan. He said, nobody hampers other countries, including Armenia to establish relations with Iran. "We understand Armenia's position realizing his needs to search and find new energy carriers," R. Simmons underlined.



Just the other day U.S. Charge d'Affairs in Armenia Anthony Godfrey stated that the United States is concerned over deepening relations between Armenia and Iran. He said, "The United States has informed the Armenian authorities that we are concerned over this fact". At the same time A. Godfrey noted the U.S. urges Armenian authorities to "put Iran on the way of fulfilling its commitments in front of the international community".
