UNSC launched closed-door consultations on Kosovo

PanARMENIAN.Net - The UN Security Council has launched closed-door consultations on the third draft Kosovo resolution elaborated by the UK, U.S. and France. The resolution provides for 120 days of talks to Belgrade and Pristina. If the sides fail to reach an agreement, Kosovo Albanians should be granted independence automatically, the authors say.

Russia has demonstrated no support to the draft. It's erroneous to offer the sides a situation when one of them is directly interested in failure of the talks, said Vitaly Churkin, Russia's permanent representatives in the UN, Vesti reports.
