Azeri soldier sentenced to 12-year imprisonment

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azeri court martial has announced the verdict of soldier Eldaniz Nuriyev, accused of treason. The court presided by judge Mamedbagir Zeynalov sentenced Nuriyev to 12-year imprisonment.



Eldaniz Nuriyev is accused of violating the rules of combat duty, desertion and treason. The accusation says that "the soldier left the military unit in Fizuli region December 31 and was captured by Armenians." Nuriyev has allegedly revealed information that is a military state secret of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.



As a matter of fact soldier Eldaniz Nuriyev crossed the Karabakhi border December 31 night and was detained by NKR military. Later on he was conveyed to the Azeri side.
