Azerbaijan attempts subversive attack against Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani troops attempted a subversive attack near the village of Chinari in Armenia's Tavush province in the early hours of Thursday, December 29, a Defense Ministry spokesman said in a Facebook post.

"The Armenian Armed Forces started a fight against the rival," Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

"Sniper rifles and grenade launchers are currently being used, the Armenian troops completely control the situation, thwarting the Azeris' attacks."

Around 40 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh overnight on December 28-29. Azeri troops, in particular, fired more than 750 shots from various caliber firearms.
