Armenian soldier of Syrian army killed in Aleppo

PanARMENIAN.Net - An 20-year-old Armenian soldier, Zhano Gorachyan was killed in heavy clashes in the outskirts of Aleppo, Syria, Arevelk reports citing sources.

According to the report, one of the killed serviceman's brothers, Remon, also serves in the Syrian army.

Following a lengthy war in the conflict-hit Syrian city, the situation is relatively calm now. The Syrian army retook control over the eastern districts of Aleppo on December 16, 2016. The government and opposition are scheduled to hold talks in Astana, Kazakhstan on Monday, January 23.
