Armenians invested $40 million in Georgia in five yearsMarch 15, 2017 - 13:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Direct investments from Armenia into the Georgian economy amounted to some $40 million in 2012-2016. As Georgia’s national statistical service reports, the volume of Armenian investments culminated in 2014 when $12.6 million were spent overall. Furthermore, investments worth $5.9 million were registered in 2012, $3.7 million in 2013, $12 million in 2015 and $5.6 million in 2016. A total of $1.68 billion worth investments were made in 2016 in Georgia, with those from Azerbaijan and EU countries accounting for $578 million and $471 million, respectively.
