23 lawsuits filed with ECtHR against Baku over Azeri violence in April 2016

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Court of Human Rights has accepted 23 applications against Azerbaijan on violations in April 2016 in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), a spokesman for Karabakh prime minister, Artak Beglaryan tweeted.

Azerbaijan on April 2, 2016 launched a large-scale offensive against Karabakh, which left hundreds killed on both sides.

Top Armenian and Azerbaijani defense officials reached an agreement on the ceassation of hostilities on April 5 in Moscow.

20 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line with Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) on March 28 and the following night. Azeri forces, in particular, used various caliber firearms to fire more than 580 shots. Besides, Karabakh soldier Artak Rafayelyan (b. 1997) received a fatal gunshot wound in an Azeri attack on March 28.
