Azerbaijan uses firearms, sniper rifles in ceasefire violations overnight![]() April 18, 2017 - 10:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 55 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan were registered on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) on April 17 and the following night, with more than 640 shots fired from firearms. According to Artsakh army, Azerbaijan also employed sniper rifles in the eastern and northeastern sections of the contact line. To suppress the rival's attacks, the Karabakh troops retaliated and continued protecting their positions. More than 15 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan were registered the previous night, with around 240 shots fired overall. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
