  RA parliament prolongs terms of peacekeeping mission in IraqDecember 4, 2007 - 15:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - With a vote 79 to 10 and 11 abstentions, the Armenian parliament has approved President Robert Kocharian's proposal to extend the terms of the Armenian peacekeeping mission in Iraq. According to RA Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan, the extension is conditioned by decision to continue humanitarian mission in Iraq. Armenians peacekeepers in Iraq have been serving within the Polish division since January 25, 2005, IA Regnum reports. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
