Halston Sage may star as Dazzler in 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix'August 16, 2017 - 16:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" may have cast Halston Sage as Dazzler. Omega Underground is the first to report the news, mentioning the 24-year-old "Paper Towns" actress as one of the names, along with Suki Waterhouse, to be in the running to play the female mutant in the upcoming "X-Men" film, AceShowbiz said. And now some evidence seem to confirm that Sage actually has landed the role. The "Goosebumps" actress was spotted alongside the film's stars including Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Nicholas Hoult and Alexandra Shipp at a Hans Zimmer concert in Montreal, where filming on the movie took place. Aside from that, pictures of Sage and Jessica Chastain, who stars as Lilandra in the film, were seen on a board in the background of an Instagram photo shared by one of the film's stuntmen. The photo, which has since been removed, further fueled speculation that Sage's indeed taking on the role of Dazzler, whose alter-ego is Alison Blaire. Reps for both 20th Century Fox and the actress have yet to comment on the report. Sage is known for her roles as Grace on the Nickelodeon TV series "How to Rock", Amber on NBC's "Crisis", and Lacey in the 2015 film "Paper Towns". She takes on the role of Alara Kitan on FOX's upcoming comedy-drama sci-fi series "The Orville". "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" is set for a November 2, 2018 release in theaters across the nation. Directed by Simon Kinberg from a screenplay he wrote, the thirteenth installment of the "X-Men" film series will also see the return of James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Evan Peters as Quicksilver.
