China supports peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - China supports the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, defense minister Chang Wanquan said at a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Vigen Sargsyan on Monday, September 4.

The two military officials were meeting in Beijing to discuss issues of international and regional importance, bilateral relations and support for each other on global arenas.

At the meeting, Sargsyan briefed the Chinese official on the current situation in the Karabakh conflict zone. He said that while Armenia is committed to finding an exclusively peaceful solution to the conflict, its armed forces are always ready for any development.

The sides agreed that more efforts should be made to deepen Armenian-Chinese cooperation, given the necessary potential that both countries possess.

Armenian and Chinese defense ministries signed the cooperation program for 2017 in April of this year.
