Passenger traffic grows 25.4% in Armenian airportsSeptember 5, 2017 - 12:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Passenger traffic in the two Armenian airports grew by 25.4% in the eight months of 2017 against the same period last year, the general department of civil aviation reports. Overall, 1,667,173 people used the services of Zvartnots airport in the capital city, Yerevan, and Shirak Airport in the northern city of Gyumri. The traffic grew by 14.9% in August year-on-year. According to the data, 14,985 tons of cargo were transported at Zvartnots in January-August 2017, up by 54% against the same period last year.
