Serzh Sargsyan calls on disorders participants to attend police stations of their own free will

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The scenario meant to discredit the people and authorities of Armenia is still being implemented and should exert efforts to prevent its development," Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan after signing a joint statement issued by the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia party and Orinats Yerkir party, the RA government's press office reported.

"On March 4 morning Azeri troops attacked one of our positions. The Azeri Defense Ministry rejected our appeal to stop the provocation. I want to say that the attack was rebuffed and the enemy fled, leaving dead bodies at the battlefield," the PM said.

As to the disorders that shocked the Armenian capital on March 1 and 2, the Prime Minister said, "I want to assure our citizens that I will do my utmost to detect the organizers and perpetrators. They will all stand trial. I call on those who took part in the melee to attend police stations of their own free will, what will considerably extenuate their guilt."
