Some 4 thousand military to participate in Rubezh 2008 maneuvers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Some 4 thousand military from Armenia, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in Rubezh 2008 CSTO maneuvers due in summer-autumn 2008 in four stages in Armenia and Russia, chief of the operative training division of the CSTO joint headquarters, major general Vitaly Kormltsev told reporters.



"Аrmored vehicles, artillery, aviation, anti-aircraft defense devices, engineer and communications units will be enabled," he said. "Russia, Armenia and Tajikistan will be represented by military units. The other CSTO member states will send Defense Ministry's operative groups."



"The exercise may be described as brigade maneuvers," he said, RIA Novosti reports
