Armenian Genocide Commemoration Week held in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Week of Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims will be held in Armenia April 20-27, Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Director Hayk Demoyan told a news conference in Yerevan.



He said the Museum-Institute will receive photographs and evidences of Genocide survivors during the week.



"We were given archives which will be included in an album titled "Armenian Family in the Ottoman Empire," Hayk Demoyan said. "The Armenian government has assigned some funds for planting of 10 thousand trees and bushes, repair of water-supply system in Tsitsernakaberd. We are also planning archeological excavations in the territory of the complex."

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
Achieving stable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains a priority of the OSCE, said Ian Borg.
The Cabinet of Ministers decided on Thursday, November 9 to allocated AMD 120 million to arrange the gathering.
