Sargsyan, Aliyev agree to continue talksJune 6, 2008 - 20:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The main result of today's Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting in Saint Petersburg is that the sides agreed to continue talks on the basis of Madrid proposals, according to the OSCE MG Co-chair."The meeting was positive and constructive. The Presidents informed us that they decided to continue talks on the basis of proposals the Co-chairs presented in Madrid," Matthew Bryza said. "We heard both sides. I can't say that they completely agree with us. The proposals need to be improved," he added. The U.S. mediator also informed that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs are planning a regional visit next month. "As to the next presidential meeting, there is no exact agreement. Everything depends on the outcomes of Foreign Ministers' talks," Amb. Bryza said, RFE/RL reports. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
