Minor earthquake hits Armenia’s north![]() December 26, 2018 - 10:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A magnitude 2.7 earthquake hit the northern parts of Armenia at around 8 pm on Tuesday, December 25. The tremor was registered 10 km south-east of the village of Ashotsk. In the epicenter, the quake was about 10 kilometers deep and was measured 3-4 on the MSK scale. The quake shook the villages of Ashotsk and Bavra. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
