Syrian army forces head to outskirts of Manbij: report

PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of reinforcements from the Syrian military’s Tiger Forces reportedly deployed to the western outskirts of Manbij on Thursday, December 27, Al-Masdar News says.

According to a military report from the provincial capital of Aleppo, a group of Tiger Forces were redeployed to the town of Al-Arimeh, which is located at the western outskirts of Manbij.

In addition to the reinforcements from the Tiger Forces, the Syrian military also sent some of their intelligence troops to the outskirts of Manbij, as they continue to amass their forces west of the city.

The move by the Syrian military comes just hours after they sent their entire 106th Brigade of the Republican Guard to Al-Arimeh.

With the 106th Brigade and Tiger Forces in the western countryside of Manbij, the Syrian military has now deployed an estimated 5,000 troops to this part of the Aleppo province.
