Russian warship heads to Syria from Black Sea

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Russian warship was observed transiting the Bosphorus Strait from the Black Sea this week, Turkish photographer Yoruk Isik reported on Tuesday.

According to Isik, the Ropucha class landing ship, LSTM Tsezar Kunikov, of the Russian Black Sea Fleet transited the Bosphorus Strait en route for the Syrian port-city of Tartous.

The LSTM Tsezar Kunikov was previously deployed to the Syrian coast for a short mission; however, it was later recalled back to its Black Sea port late last year.

The Russian warship is likely carrying weapons that will be distributed to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops.
