RA FM: Armenian-Czech relations develop successfullyJuly 7, 2008 - 13:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian-Czech relations are developing successfully in a bilateral format and in the framework of EU and ENP, Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said at a joint news conference with his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg."We have signed an agreement on cancellation of double taxation of property and income and a memorandum on cooperation between the Armenian and Czech Foreign Ministries," Mr. Nalbandian said. "Czechia will assume the EU rotating presidency in 2009 and I am hopeful that it will help strengthening of relations between our countries. Armenia established a diplomatic outpost in Prague two years ago and we expect Czech Embassy to open in Yerevan soon," he added. For his part, Minister Schwarzenberg voiced hope that his first visit will help to expand cooperation. "It's my first visit to Armenia and I am glad to be the first Czech Foreign Minister to be in your country," he said. Touching on the Karabakh conflict, the Czech Minister said, "We stand for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. But, under international agreements, Czechia supports territorial integrity of states."
