Iran asks Armenia's support to join UN Security Council?July 7, 2008 - 19:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghaeyan handed RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian a letter from Iranian FM Manouchehr Mottaki, who asked for Armenia's support to enter the UN Security Council.The officials discussed bilateral ties, Mr. Nalbandian's forthcoming visit to Iran and also referred to preparations for a meeting of commissions on Armenian-Iranian economic cooperation, Trend Azeri news agency reported with a reference to sources in Iran. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
