"ARARAT" FILM ABOUT ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY TO BE SHOWN AT MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL CINEMA FESTIVAL

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Ararat" film telling about the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915 shot by Canadian film director Atom Egoyan will be shown at the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema. As evidenced by one of the festival organizers Claude Chamberlain, as reported by "Montreal Gazette", "Ararat" was included in the festival program as one of the favorite films of the latest Cannes Film Festival. Let us note that the creation of the film in its time caused negative response of the Turkish authorities, who were trying to prevent the film being shown on the international screen.
