ARMENIAN LEADS OVER CIS STATES ON INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION GROWTH FOR 2002 SIX MONTHS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The most growth of the industrial production for 2002 first six month among CIS states (not taking into consideration Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan as there is not information regarding them) is observed in Armenia- 12.1% versus the same period in 2001. The CIS Statistic committee report states that. According to the report, the production decrease was fixed only in Kirgizstan - 13.6%. In the other CIS states, industrial production growth was recorded versus the same period in 2001. So, in Russia, the production has increased by 3.2%, in Azerbaijan- by 1.5%, in Georgia- by 0.1%. According to the report, Armenia leads over CIS states on the Gross Domestic Production growth as well, that is 10.1% for the 2002 first six months. Azeri GDP growth is 8.4%, in Belarus the GDP growth is 5%, in Ukraine- 4.3%. GDP in Kirgizstan decreased by 4.9%.
