Chess Olympiad: Armenian women's team defeats Azeris, men score victory over French

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian national women's chess team scored a 4:0 victory over the Azeris in the 8th tour of the Chess Olympiad in Dresden. Elina Danielyan-Zeynab Mammadyarova, Lilit Mkrtchyan-Turkan Mammadyarova, Nelly Aghinyan-Nargiz Umudova and Lilit Galoyan-Narmin Kazimova games ended in victory of the Armenian chess players.



After the 8th tour China has 14 points; U.S., Ukraine, Poland, Serbia have 13 points each; Georgia, Armenia, Slovenia and Romania have 12 points each; Russia, Hungary, France, Bulgaria, India, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Argentina and Lithuania have 11 points each.



In the 9th tour, Armenian women's team will meet with Argentineans.



Defeating French with 3,5:0,5 score, Armenian men's team presently tops the tournament chart with 15 points.



On Saturday, Armenian chess players will meet with the Israeli team.
