Russian President bans armament delivery to GeorgiaJanuary 19, 2009 - 15:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree barring delivery of military hardware to Georgia till December 1, 2011.He also instructed the government to work out measures to limit or suspend military and technical cooperation with the states supplying Georgia with Russian and soviet armament. Earlier, the Russian President accused Ukraine of illegal armament delivery to Georgia. Ukrainian parliamentary investigation committee ascertained that Ukraine supplied Georgia with military hardware at expense of the state budget, which turned out to be short of $10 million. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
