EU, WHO provide 10,000 Covid-19 PCR tests to ArmeniaSeptember 9, 2020 - 18:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Union and the World Health Organization have provided 100 oxygen concentrators, 20 electrocardiographs and 10,000 Covid-19 PCR tests to Armenia's Health Ministry. Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, WHO Representative in Armenia Egor Zaitsev and Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan visited the Republican Center for Humanitarian Aid to receive the shipment of tests and equipment. The EU Ambassador and the WHO Representative handed over the tests and equipment to the Ministry as part of a larger assistance package to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the country. The tests and equipment will be provided to the national laboratory and healthcare institutions. The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 199 to reach 45,152 on Wednesday. So far, 41,023 people have recovered, 905 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 279 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
