Armenia sets another one-day Covid-19 record with 1540 cases![]() October 17, 2020 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 1540 to reach 63000 on Saturday, October 17 morning – a record number of new infections in a single day – according to information provided by the Health Ministry. Fresh figures also revealed that 384 more people have recovered, while 11 patients have died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. A total of 3937 tests have been performed in the past day, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said. So far, 47,925 people have recovered, 1067 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 314 others carrying the virus have died from other causes. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
