100 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Armenia through Turkish airspaceOctober 19, 2020 - 15:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A Qatar Airways plane carrying 100 tons of humanitarian aid, which was earlier blocked by Turkey, has now reached Armenia from the United States, Chief of the civil aviation authority Tatevik Revazian said Monday, October 19. "Qatar Airways cancelled this LAX-EVN flight on 15 October due to not receiving flight permission from Turkey. The Civil Aviation Authority raised the issue with Eurocontrol and Qatar Airways and today we can confirm that the flight has arrived crossing Turkish airspace," Revazian said on Twitter. During a press conference on October 14, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan reported that Turkey has blocked 100 tons of humanitarian aid to Armenia traveling from the United States. The only available flight would have transported it through Turkish airspace.
