Lavrov discusses

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held separate meetings with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov in Moscow on October 20 and 21, the Russian Foreign Ministry reveals.

During the meetings, parties discussed urgent issues related to the implementation of the previously reached ceasefire agreements in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the creation of conditions for the sustainable settlement of the conflict.

It was reported earlier that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will hold separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on October 23 in Washington, DC. In addition, the foreign ministers will hold meetings with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.

Donations can be made to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which has launched a fundraising campaign to support humanitarian efforts in Karabakh.
