Armenia rejects Azerbaijan's claims of opening fire towards Barda![]() October 27, 2020 - 18:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan's claims that a missile attack was allegedly carried out from the territory of Armenia towards Barda are totally false and provocative, Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said Tuesday, October 27. "Neither the Armed Forces of Armenia nor the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) have fired a missile in that direction," Stepanyan said. Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
