Armenia: 846 bodies recovered from Karabakh battlefield

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian side has recovered the bodies of 846 people killed in Azerbaijan's war against Nagorno Karabakh since November 10, Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said Wednesday, December 9.

The names of more than 1700 fallen soldiers have identified so far, with the Health Ministry still examining the bodies.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
