OSCE MG preparing presidential meetingFebruary 27, 2009 - 12:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - There are serious obstacles to resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the sides will have to take crucial decisions, OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-chair said. "The purpose of our regular regional visit is to study positions of the sides and develop a new proposal to be submitted to them. At that, a repeat visit to Azerbaijan is not ruled out after talks in Armenia," Ambassador Yuri Merzlyakov said in Baku. As to a presidential meeting, the mediator said the issue will be discussed with the heads of state. "Our agenda includes discussion of venue and date of a presidential meeting. But our primary task is to help resolve the conflict and alleviate its consequences," the diplomat said, RIA Novosti reports. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
