Baku uses photos of Armenian refugees as Azeri propagandaJanuary 20, 2021 - 18:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku's Consulate General in Los Angeles has used photos of Armenian refugees from the first Nagorno-Karabakh as Azeri propaganda, Karabakh Records reports. The images of Armenian refugees from Hadrut, used in a fresh propaganda video, were taken by Czech war correspondent and lawmaker Jaromír Štětina, who traveled to the region in 1991 and captured the war in Karabakh. Štětina too weighed in on the matter Wednesday, January 20, recalling the misery he was able to film back then and slamming the use of his photos in Azeri propaganda. "I do not want to be abused by [Azeri President Ilham] Aliyev's dictatorial regime. Elderly Azeris don't deserve this," he wrote on Twitter. Azerbaijanis have repeatedly used this and many other photos of elderly Armenians and Armenian refugees in their propaganda, coming up with various legends about their origins.
