Easy-build wooden homes being constructed in KarabakhJanuary 21, 2021 - 17:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Easy-build wooden houses are being constructed for the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) who have lost their homes in the six-week war unleashed by Azerbaijan in late September 2020. The new buildings are being constructed by the Shen Artsakh company, A1+ reports. Each home will be 80 square meters, designed for a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and a corridor. Shen Artsakh manager Mher Derzyan believes bigger easy-build homes can be constructed if need be. If the residents and the Artsakh Ministry of Urban Development are satisfied with the result, the program will continue, with Hayastan All-Armenian Fund taking over the financing. Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Migration Mane Tandilyan said earlier that around 34,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh have become homeless as a result of the war. Tandilyan said there is a need for 8-10,000 homes to provide housing to those who have no place to live. Top stories Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
