Footage proves Azeri troops firing shots near Armenian villages![]() February 15, 2021 - 11:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has published footage from the province of Syunik, which proves that Azeri troops keep firing from small- and large-caliber weapons in the immediate vicinity of civilian settlements. "The video was shot by the Armenian troops two days ago, in an area between the villages of Agarak and Yeghvard in Kapan," Tatoyan wrote on Facebook Monday, February 15. Tatoyan said the distance from where the shots were fired to the village of Agarak is just one kilometer. According to the Human Rights Defender, the presence of Azerbaijani armed forces on the roads connecting the Armenian communities to each other should be ruled out immediately. Tatoyan said earlier that no matter the circumstances, the Azeri soldiers' presence or any movement is illegal, devoid of any legal basis, and contradictory to the foundations of human rights under international law. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
