Armenia: 3577 bodies of troops killed in Karabakh war examined so far

PanARMENIAN.Net - 3577 bodies of Armenian troops killed in Azerbaijan's war against Nagorno-Karabakh were examined between September 27 and February 13, health authorities said Thursday, February 18, Aysor.am reports.

As of January 13, the Health Ministry added, 428 bodies needed to be identified through DNA analysis.

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said earlier that the final death toll from the six-week war won't surpass 4000.

Karabakh's Dafense Army, meanwhile, has published the names of 2364 servicemen killed in action, while rescue teams have recovered the bodies or remains of 1485 troops and civilians so far.
