Pashinyan described the General Staff's demand for his resignation as "a military coup attempt" and called on his supporters to gather in downtown Yerevan on Thursday, February 25. According to him, the decision to dismiss the Chief of Staff was made before the publication of the demand for his resignation. The President has yet to sign the decree.
