Pashinyan meets Armenian Army Command Staff amid turmoil![]() March 10, 2021 - 17:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday, March 10 met the Command Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, hid office said in a video published on Facebook. Pashinyan is expected to publish his speech later in the day. The meeting comes on the heels of disagreements between the Prime Minister and the country's top military brass, involving the latter demanding Pashinyan's resignation and Pashinyan sacking the Chief of the Army General Staff. Earlier on Wednesday, the Premier proposed to reinstate Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan in the post of the Chief of the Army General Staff, having fired him only months ago. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
